Overview: Ericsson Data Centre was no different to any other throughout the world. It required a high level of expertise for the duration of the project, to achieve the high expectations from the client.

Reinforced by the project team’s performance and collaborative approach Glenfield Engineering managed to complete this project within the original delivery date, within budget, with zero accidents or incidents logged and to the high level of quality required by the client.

Project Duration: 16 weeks

Work Scope: The mechanical scope of work comprised of the supply, fabrication, installation & testing of Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel pipework ranging from 0.5” to 14”. A total of 400 isometrics were logged, prioritised, engineered, fabricated, heat treated, NDT approved, and transported to site over a 16 week period. On site in excess of 2,000 metres of pipework was installed, supported and tested.

Project Description:

  • Awarded the mechanical contract December 2014
  • Procurement of all carbon and stainless material over a phased timeframe
  • Issue of prioritised fabrication drawings to the workshop
  • Transport fabricated pipework and secondary steel as per priority set out on commencement of the project
  • Deliveries were phased typically weekly
  • Mobilising crews on site, setting up workshop and laydown area
  • Installation of pipework and secondary steel, using heavy lifting equipment i.e cranes, teleporters, when required.
  • On completion pneumatic pressure testing was carried out
